Thanks to all our fans & riders for another great event in 2016! Results for all classes are now posted!
Our online poll showed runaway support for Bret Peterson to have a great weekend – and indeed he was on his way, winning the 450cc Pro class qualification with only one ride! Unfortunately, Bret crashed hard later in the day and wound up taking a trip to the hospital…he’ll be out for a while as a broken bone heals, but you know he’ll be back with a vengeance soon! Best wishes to Bret, his family, and all of Team Peterson Racing!
Joe Shipman was the runner-up in the online poll…and he sure did have a great weekend! Joe won the Open pro class, came in 2nd in the 700cc pro class, and claimed 3rd place in the 450cc pro class – as well as coming in 3rd in the King of the Hill Cash Climb! Logan Mead, who didn’t poll well ahead of the event, proved that online polls don’t mean squat by winning the 700cc pro class as well as X-Climb, and topped that off with a 3rd in the Open pro class too! Jake Anstett took home the gold in the King of the Hill Cash Climb, as well as the win in the 450cc pro class, where he edged out Austin Teyler, the final pro rider to take podium spots in more than one class, who also claimed 2nd place in the Open pro class.
Reigning 4-class NAHA champion Jason Smith posted good results all weekend, but faced stiff competition and only found the podium once, taking 2nd in the King of the Hill Cash Climb. Former pro champions Travis Whitlock and Harold Waddell also had good showings, but came up shy of the podium in most cases, with Harold claiming 3rd place in the 700cc pro class.
We greatly appreciate the support of all the riders and fans, and we hope to see you all again next year!
